What Is It?

An e-version of the Indian Museum’s prized collection of Buddhist art, including the highly-revered Gandhara figurines. Thanks to a partnership with the Google Cultural Institute, which allows people to explore museums and artifacts from all over the world online, you can see up close the head of Buddha from fifth century in Sarnath. And very soon, you will be able to get a 360° view of the museum with over 60 galleries full of ancient sculpture, medieval paintings, armor, antiques, ornaments, skeletons, fossils, and an Egyptian mummy.

Anything Else?

You will be able to glean much more information about exhibits from the virtual tour {no space constraints online}, and see minutest details of artifacts and paintings. Take the virtual tour here.
