Supriya Mancherji and her husband Manchi started this small joint serving Parsi food almost a decade back. Situated near New Market at 14 Kyd Street, it’s the dhansak and the akoori that are most popular here. Earlier you’d get only Parsi cuisine here, but as the numbers of the community dropped, Mancherji’s has added Bengali dishes to draw in crowds.

They take party orders if they are above a certain number. The couple source Parsi masalas all the way from Mumbai and Pune as they can’t find any in Kolkata.

You must try the Chicken Dhansak which comes for INR 100, it’s quite meaty and the curry is made with four types of lentils {chana dal, red and brown masoor and arhar dal}.

They start and wrap up early – from 10 am to 8 pm.
