Bidhannagar Residents, Here's A New Safety App Just For You

If you’ve been following the local news, you have probably noticed an increasing number of crime reports emerging from the Bidhannagar area, in particular, crime targeting those who are elderly. Developed by the Bidhannagar police, a new app called Bipad Sathi aims to help residents stay safe.

Available for both Android and iOS platforms, Bipad Sathi is a free app that has several useful features for Bidhanaggar residents, including an option to request nearby help, conduct live GPS-enabled tracking and report crimes. An SOS option, when activated through pressing the volume button thrice, will notify both the local police station {they will send a GPS-enabled vehicle with police to help} and up to five pre-selected contacts of one’s choices.
