Founded by Chethana Anumolu, Notch Above is a slow and sustainable fashion brand that believes in empowering local artisans and communities by creating handmade, upcycled apparel. Their designs promote Indian crafts, fabrics and techniques while reducing the harm caused to the environment. The brand makes modern casuals for women that are handcrafted, comfortable and unique.
The collection includes dresses, tops, bottoms, jumpsuits and sets as well as accessories like scrunchies and face masks. Well, I basically love everything about the brand but it's the sets and the tops that have my heart - smart, stylish and classy. The sets mostly comprise crop tops and skirts or pants in bright colours, prints and patterns on handwoven fabrics like cotton, ikat, linen, lycra, rayon and blends.
