The Pickle Factory is a hub for all things dance — they’re bringing together artists, performers, audiences a common platform.

    What Is It?

If you love anything to do with dance, you have to connect with The Pickle Factory. They’re all about dance and movement. The Kolkata-based group is building itself up as a hub where artists and audiences can connect. Workshops, sessions, discussions, discourses, they have a bunch of activities planned that you can get involved in. You can sign up for their residency programme and workshops {which will kickstart in February with international dance choreographer, Janis Claxton}, visit their exhibitions, and even watch their performances {later this year}.

The best part? You need no prior experience to sign up! Their first season is in February-March, 2018.

    Anything Else?

The Pickle Factory’s core team comprises Vikram Iyengar {a well-known dance choreographer}, Ruchira Das, Anubha Fatehpuria {a theatre actor, you can often catch her powerful performances in Padatik}, Dana Roy {daughter of theatre person Katy Lai Roy, Dana is a powerhouse singer, actor and stage person}. Together the group has decades of experience and a wide nexus of artists, arts professionals and arts organisations.

They have a bunch of fun, educational events and activities coming up. You can keep yourself posted through their Facebook page and website.
