Have you visited the Sabyasachi store on Lake Road yet? It’s nothing short of a mini museum! those of you who did not know, the Lake Road store was the first Sabyasachi store in India. Post its renovation, it looks like a miniature replica of his Mumbai and Delhi stores. The facade at the entry is a wooden one with the trademark ‘Sabyasachi Calcutta’ logo with the Bengal tiger displayed on top.
The entrance, which serves as a lobby, is resplendent and lush with vintage paintings created by Sabyasachi Art Foundation, ittar bottles, and a gorgeous chandelier. As you venture further inside, you will find a section housing Sabyasachi’s signature sherwanis and mojris for men. In another zone, the brand’s bridal collection showcasing his lehengas can be seen on racks. Across the store, clothes and accessories find places in classic leather trunks done by Jaipur Trunk Company. Even the trial room, where minute details have been taken care of, will win all hearts with its pretty gold and pink wallpapers, huge mirrors, lights and wooden piris. The beige-and-red floral printed curtains is the connecting element among all Sabyasachi stores.
