Mostly known for its Holi special drink, it is one of the few joints in the city legally selling bhaang infused thandai. Shiv Assram located on Bidhan Sarani, adjacent to the very famous Laha Bari, passed ownership from generation to generation. The shop is tiny - more like an extended counter (with renovated decor) and offers no seating area except a couple of plastic chairs which remain occupied usually. Among their bestsellers is the thandai, their signature drink which comes with an option of bhaang (on special occasions only). rose and ripe mango (during season). The flavoured lassis are another crowd favourite - rich and refreshing and able to rejuvenate you on a sunny day. For people who like to keep it on the lighter side they have simple syrup drinks in addition to much lighter milk-based smoothies in a range of flavours. The minimum price for coolers starts at INR 20 and goes upto INR 45 for one person. Low on change? They accept Paytm as well.
