What Makes It Awesome

This 100-year-old cafe in Darjeeling serves the best English breakfast in town. The ground floor is the takeaway section and the bakery. Climb the narrow wooden stairs to the upper floor. There are only five small tables in the indoor area upstairs that can seat around four people each. As you walk into the upper floor, from the window-side tables on the right you get a marvellous view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range and the scenery. You can spend hours there sipping on a cup of tea while reading a book.

However, the highlight of the seating in the upper floor is at the lovely open terrace from which you also get the view of the beautiful town residing below.

Keventer's is well-known for its famous English breakfast and is one cafe that you really need to visit when you're in Darjeeling. However, you do get varieties of sandwiches, burgers and various other meat products and snack items here. They also serve one of the best soft serves around the area.

What Could Be Better?

The sausages here are fried, quite oily and taste a little bland, so that needs to be changed.

What's My Pro Tip?

The servings in Keventer's are quite large. If you're taking a full English breakfast, you will possibly need to skip your lunch!

Anything Else?

You'd be missing out on a lot if you do not try their meatloaf and eggs for breakfast.
