Beer-Battered Prawns & Seafood Soup: This New Chinese Joint Is Just What We Needed
Tell Me More
A small, yet well spaced and colourfully decorated 20 seater -Wolf Of Wok Street is the next place you should be heading to with your fam jam. Restaurant food can be expensive these days, which is why you’ll relate to the fact that dine-in experiences have decreased over time. This place dishes out not only a comfy and cosy experience, but also tasty, quality Chinese food at prices that’ll be easy on your wallet.
We tried the Seafood Special Soup (INR 160) for starters – quite peppery and with chunks of seafood like squid and shrimp (and egg drops too!). The soup has a sharp taste with small pieces of mango ginger (aam ada) hitting your taste buds.
You absolutely must order the Ginger Beer Battered Prawns that come with a good eight pieces of finger-sized, succulent prawns with a crispy, golden fried shell. It is served with chilli mint mushy peas and a sweet chilli dip – all for just INR 350!
Moving on to the main course, we were absolutely amazed by the Mushroom Noodles. The shiitake mushrooms made all the difference to the flavour as did the kafir lime leaves. If you’re a vegetarian (they have a non-veg version as well), you will absolutely love this, as it has oodles of other exotic veggies like, red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, zucchini and mustard leaves.
They’re soon adding a number of bowls (portioned for 1) to their menu – pan Asian and North Indian, and a Healthy Salad bowl. Also, they take the FIFA World Cup seriously so, they’ll be having a special local snack from each team country – so something from Brazil, one from Argentina and so on. So, make sure you order your match session binges from here to get the feels.
