What Makes It Awesome

Tired of those cliched prints? Score gorgeous tie and dye apparel from Varchasvv Design Studio, a quaint store on Sarat Bose Road.

Millennial brides, take note. Hit up this store for edgy and stunning semi casual and bridal wear. All the apparel is curated by Ankit Mehta, also the owner of the studio, and designed by his team of skilled craftsmen. His collection will cater to all occasions from a casual day out to a wedding function. Choose from different designs in sarees, kurtis, dresses, peplum skirts, straight pants, lehengas, blouses, tunics, gowns, draped sarees and more. Made out of rich fabrics like raw silk, muslin, cotton, linen, bamber silk, organza, cotton kora, lycra, habutai silk and ostrich feathers, every design is comfy and offbeat. However, we got totally hooked on their tie and dye range - one of the very few boutiques in the city to design apparel using this technique.

We spotted a snazzy piece made out of Habutai silk with rich tie and dye imprints. Wear it as a dress or pair it up with white straight pants and your style quotient is on point. to sport a boho vibe on your BFF's wedding we recommend picking up their cotton silk crop top paired with an organza skirt with embroidered bird motifs. Still wondering how to stand out in this festive season? Try their ivory kurti made of moon silk. Pair it with an embroidered organza dupatta and you're all set.

Ankit does bridal wear as well (limited though) in the form of sherwanis, Nehru jackets and other groom wear, but on order basis.

Prices start at INR 2,500.

Pro-Tip

Ankit is open to customisations, so get similar looking lehengas as sported on celebrities, at much pocket-friendly prices.
