If enigma and mystery is your thing, then walking through a maze of cobbled lanes and narrow paths that lead to a centuries-old water reservoir called Banganga, is not something that you will regret. Draft Craft International, a global think-tank organisation that conducts heritage walks and tours, is organising this walk on a Sunday morning to take you through the rich history of this settlement near Mumbai's Malabar Hills.
Enjoy some serenity in the morning, while you watch the local inhabitants, pundits, and visitors offering prayers amidst the sound of chimes at the various temples there. If you believe in Mythology, you might enjoy this walk even more, with stories of the Ramayana related to this beautiful place. This tour not only includes a visit to the water tank, but also makes you visit bathing ghats, ancient temples, community settlements, a local Dhobi-Ghat, the Aghori Samadhis, and then gorge on local food, for only INR 3,500.
(P.S- Aghoris are a small group of Ascetic Shiv Sadhus)
We bet you're already interested! So here's what you need to do-Assemble near the Cafe Coffee Day located in Walkeshwar Road, and get ready for a mystic walk to Banganga.
