Event Info

Dysco X Ministry of New present Vocation Redefined on 11 March, at Ministry of New in Mumbai. The event draws together an eclectic and exciting collection of entrepreneurs and creatives to explore using work and vocation to create sustainable, fulfilling experiences and a better work life balance. Whether you aspire to work as a ‘digital nomad’ on a beach in Goa or live a more sustainable & waste-free life in the middle of a busy city. The event is produced by Dysco, a professional networking app, website and community. Vocation Redefined is part of a series of events which share Dysco’s ethos offline and directly engage with their digital and physical community. Collaborators include Gauri Devidayal Founder & Owner of The Table discussing locally sourced ingredients; Sahar Mansoor discussing her ‘zero waste’ personal care products; documentary photographer Mukul Bhatia speaking about journaling nomads across the globe, and Bhushan Bagadia discussing his work as an underwater photographer and marine life conservationist. Dysco & Ministry of New believe strongly in the power of community – both online and offline and are collaborating here for the first time. Vocation Redefined explores the notion of reinventing vocations to enable a life of sustainable freedom. The day long event will provide intimate networking opportunities for attendees alongside talks, workshops, engaging displays and interactive exhibits from key representatives in the travel, food and sustainability sectors. The event is open to the public with tickets available on insider.in. Founded by Mumbai based siblings Khrisha and Mishal Shah, Dysco is a professional networking platform that offers enabling people to get discovered themselves, as well as discover new collaboration opportunities, local agencies and brands, interesting jobs and unique professionals. Having both returned from studying abroad Khrisha and Mishal quickly realised the most efficient way to discover new jobs, opportunities or people to work within India was through word of mouth. Social Media platforms are either not designed for professional networking or are too corporate, Dysco is focussed on social recruitment, professional discovery and enabling collaborations. Utilising Watson Artificial Intelligence algorithms, identifying people’s intentions (hire me, I’m hiring, collaborate, network, or freelance) and organising people by both city and industry, the platform provides a more effective and efficient way to discover and network locally. Combining this with high quality and value driven content and physical events Dysco maintains the personality and openness of word of mouth. Key speakers include: Aditi Malik, CEO of Conscious Food, Mumbai India’s most trusted organic & natural foods company. To maintain an ethical supply chain, Conscious Food only sources responsibly grown produce, it promote indigenous varieties and follows sustainable practices wherever possible.
