This popular joint that has kept up with the time serves Haleem, made out of wheat, meat and lentils and it’s cooked for almost eight hours. Only their Dongri outlet serves Haleem and they only take special orders. Using gurda, kaleji and mutton, they do a mean haleem. You’ll have to place an advance order.

La Patisserie at Taj President will be serving Haleem and sheermal prepared on traditional wood fire. At INR 300, this deal makes the feasting even better for us. An Arabic dish, said to have come to India during the Mughal period is a stew of meat, lentils, wheat and Indian spices, garnished with caramelized onions, coriander and slices of onions. It’ll be available till June 24, so hurry up.
