Bombay Underground runs out of a small apartment in Bandra. Besides being a library with an amazing collection on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 3pm and 6pm, they also hold book sales every month where you can pick up amazing books for a pittance. I saw everything from Dave Eggers and Tintin to Kurt Vonnegut and Roddy Doyle. None of these was more than INR 200. They also sell amazing zines for INR 100 to INR 300 which are made in-house. I loved these, especially the one about momo making. Amazing thing is - they also take contributions! This September they are going to call for contributions for two collections - one on Amy Winehouse and one on cats. Wannabe writers and illustrators you should totally try this.
