A short walk away from Dadar station, a maze of shops await. A world of its own, this maze has stores that deal in a lot of super-specific products, and Ashirwad’s one of them. This one looks like your usual trophy/medal store if you’re swiftly walking by, but since we’re always looking for the next #HiddenGem, we walked in.
The medal and trophy samples seem like a cover of sorts once you enter - Ashirwad also sells bronze and bronze-coated wallpieces, large sculptures, smaller idols, and even plaques. You’ll find immaculately carved Ganesha sculptures, large, ornate Buddha motifs, and several Radha-Krishna figurines, all starting around INR 1800, which we believe is an absolute steal. Scour some more, and you’ll see the name plates as well.
Starting at INR 350, the nameplates are completely customizable to your taste when it comes to font, accent placement, finish and size. The owner of the store was happy to show us several designs, and told us that nameplates are a hot favourite for patrons.
