What Is It?

All India Bakchod {AIB} is organising a one day workshop titled ‘AIB First Draft’ which will be in an introductory class for aspiring filmmakers and writers at the OML office in Lower Parel on 20 November.

Who Is It For?

AIB First Draft started off as an initiative by the comedy group {AIB} to have a six month’s writers residency programme wherein ten writers from around the country were selected to undergo an intensive training. It was led and mentored by Satyanshu Singh, a National award winning filmmaker, who will also be conducting this workshop. His poems have been featured in Vikramaditya Motwane’s film ‘Udaan‘, among other films, apart from his first documentary that won him a national award.

It’s for anyone who wants to get a head start or even an insight into the world of script writing for films and get an idea on as to how the content for the big screen really works.

Why Should I Go?

You will get to learn from an experienced writer, get advice on how to crack the world of writing in cinema, and of course, improve and get tips on your writing. It’s an all encompassing workshop really as you’ll learn the difference between cinematic writing and other forms of writing, episodic writing and feature film writing. Apart from this, you’ll be in the company of like-minded people, so there’s your networking opportunity as well and we say, go here and do it.
