Bark & Groove’s collection has been inspired by classic and chic contemporary design styles, Scandinavian mid-century modern design to the more DIY inspired shabby chic & French provincial pieces. What’s really interesting is that they incorporate literary themes into their designs, taking inspiration from various styles and forms of art and culture.
With such a varied range of pieces, available in different hues and patterns, they also offer to customise your selection, based on your need, preferences and fancy (you can play around with a host of colour, sizing and wood finish options). We’re sold already!
But what really makes them stand out is that all their products are handmade, where every piece is automatically unique and special, thanks to the way they’re carved. Their team is made up of some really skilled craftsmen from the Suthar community in Rajasthan.
What’s also exciting is that they are also massive pop-culture buffs and believe that every piece of furniture churned out of Bark & Groove’s workshop has a very distinct personality. They’ve ended up naming all their products – usually after references to pop culture or things that they’re fans, like Russia, so one of their pieces is The Rasputin. They also love Vincent Van Gogh’s impressionist art and named their blue wardrobes ‘The Starry Night’.
Their prices range depends on what kind of purchase you make, but their starting range for a piece like an ottoman is INR 8,000 and goes up from there for larger pieces. Storage options can be between INR 30,000- INR 50,000; TV units between INR 20,000- INR 35,000; beds between INR 50,000- INR 80,000 and bars from INR 30,000- INR 50,000.
