As far as the name goes, Bark & Groove not only refers to the physical ‘barks’ and ‘grooves’ that are part of the nomenclature of their primary raw material – wood, but also to a mantra of fearless expression wherein one need not always sing & waltz but instead Bark & Groove.
What’s also exciting is that they are also massive pop-culture buffs and believe that every piece of furniture churned out of Bark & Groove’s workshop has a very distinct personality. They’ve ended up naming all their products – usually after references to pop culture or things that they’re fans, like Russia, so one of their pieces is The Rasputin. They also love Vincent Van Gogh’s impressionist art and named their blue wardrobes ‘The Starry Night’.
