Sarangaa in the lane directly opposite Siddhivinayak temple. I can call it a Hidden Gem for sure. This place serves one of the best Coastal Food in Mumbai.
The Ambience is beautiful. A lovely Decor with three to four tables. They will soon have to expand the place because people will flood in to enjoy the food at this place. Staff is polite and very helpful in suggesting the dishes. We met the owner Mr. Pushkaraj Gaikar. He hosted us so nicely that I fell in love with this place.
Food is undoubtedly amazing. A delicious piece of cooking and you will keep on wanting more and more. Right from the Starters to the Thalis and Desserts, everything is just mind-blowing. Their unique quotient is that they shallow fry and not deep fry. This gives a distinct flavour to the Dishes.
We tried the following Dishes:
1) Pomfret Fry: The pomfret was simply wow. Never eaten a better pomfret fry till date. Perfectly fried Pomfret were full of Flavours.
2) Chicken Kheema Cutlet: These small little delicious cutlets were so soft and yummy. Absolutely loved them.
THALI:
1) Prawns Thali
2) Surmai Thali
Both the Thalis were out if this world. Every thali consists of a fried portion of the hero meat, a curry, jawla, chutney, sol kadhi accompanied by Chapati, Bhakri or Wade and Rice. I personally loved the Surmai Thali.
DESSERTS:
1) Kharvas: This is a sugar-free Kharvas made with Jaggery. Couldn't have had a better Kharvas. Simply delicious and lovely.
2) Custard: My God this eggless Custard was so light that it simply melted away in my mouth. I wanted more and more.
