BKC is on a new high and how I love coming to this area each time which has such pleasant surprises for a lot of food fanatics.
I surely remember this place being Fish and Bait before as I’d just been last Diwali. And the redesign to Butterfly High is only for the good. The Quirky Design and the beat tapping music gets you grooving as soon you make a seat for yourself.
Coming to the order at this Lovely High-
Mocktail-
Guns and Roses - nostalgic to the ’80s this drink brings you apple, cranberry, passion fruit, with hints of clove and cinnamon.
Kaffir Lime Blue - a red bull mixed drink that has the kaffir lime leaves and sour mix. Had ordered this without the blue curacao syrup and was the best decision indeed.
Virgin Mojito - on dot of a making. Perfect mix to the lime and other syrups.
The Starters-
Baked Curried Cottage Cheese Pottallan - simplified Paneer Bhurji that's made into pottallan style and served baked.
Stuffed Cigars with Smoked Tomato Salsa- some amazing cheese style stuffing served with salsa inside a shot glass. Te Amo for this one.
Quinoa Falafel and Beetroot Hummus- amazing work on the quinoa. The beetroot hummus was just simply made. Not the usual red or too heavy either.
Main course -
Panner Makhani with Mini kulcha - as simple as it seems and yet on the lighter side. Loved the kulcha. Soft panner texture and the creamy makhani had just the perfect blend.
Burnt Garlic Rice with Sapa Sauce - I’m usually a big panner fan as a vegetarian but this particular dish made a soft corner. Sapa sauce- this one is too delicious. Very very authentic and given with some tofu, this one is a must recommend.
Desserts-
Sizzling Brownie - because, of course! Perfect end to the meal.
A quick chat with the manager Milind gave us an insight into how he went about the revamp of this place. With quite a laughter he said - “Everything else remains the same. We’ve just revamped the backdrop lights near the bar (laughs), and of course, the furniture’s gets the restaurant touch.
Bhushan - thank you for taking care of the table with your smile despite all the hustle and the crowd coming in.
