Solo travellers of the world and backpackers looking for budget accommodation, Bricks & Bamboo hostel in Goa will sort you out. It’s practically a 5-minute minute walk from Anjuna beach and having witnessed a cool makeover recently, is now looking pretty good.

What Makes It Awesome

This hostel in Goa has been around for a while, and may we add, remains a popular stay option with the backpackers' community. The hostel was started by Angad Anand in the year 2013 and hasn't looked back since. In its new avatar, we have to say, it looks even better than before.

The idea is to provide a safe, fun and affordable space for anyone who is looking to make new friends in Goa. Because they're all about fostering that community feeling, they host gig nights, fire shows, fusion jam sessions and other evening entertainment. Oh, there's a new outdoor bar called Captain's Bar that's got lovely picnic benches.

Situated in the heart of Anjuna, on the flea market road, they have guests from all over the world who go on to stay here for weeks and make new, global friends. This really is the beauty of the hostel. The best part: You can stay in a tent for as low as INR 300.

They offer standard dormitories (with and without AC) that range from INR 500-600. The breakfast is included in the cost per night and you can also rent bikes from them. All in all, Bricks & Bamboo is a free-spirited, all-accepting hostel where people can truly experience Goa (and meet people) without the added burden of splurging. Still need more convincing? They've got bunny chow on the menu now; the only place in all of Goa serving this! Or there's always their fish thali for that wholesome meal away from home.
