Catch Artists From Around The World At The Goa Jazz Fest This Month

What Is It?

The Goa International Jazz Fest is back for its second edition on 26 November and 27 November. The fest will include new wage jazz, acid jazz, funk apart from other genres of punk, hip-hop and R&B - and you can experience all of this at the Stone Water Eco Resort, Bogmalo in Goa {just five km away from the Goa airport}.

Who Is It For?

Everyone and anyone, especially the ones who love all that jazz. If you had been looking to escape the city, what better place than Goa with jazz tunes?

The festival will host eight experimental bands who will perform live - and they have been called on from around the world. The line up includes: Swiss band Hely from Zurich; DMT Jazz Trio - an experimental fusion jazz band playing acid jazz, blues consisting of Ranjit Arapurakal on Hammond Organ, Fender Rhodes, and vocal EFX, Kunal Netrapal on drums with Antón Serrats on bass and synth EFX; Gael Horellou Identite {a French saxophonist}; Steve Sequeira {Indian jazz drummer}, Yuichiro Tokuda's Ralyzzdig {Japanese progressive jazz musician}; The World Service Project {winners of the “Young European Jazz Artist 2014” which comprises of British punk-jazz artists}; Malika Tirolie {Guadeloupeean Singer/song writer and pianist who plays Afro-jazz soul Hip-hop} and Tam De Villiers Quartet {British-born guitarist who's been living in France since 2003}.

Why Should I Go?

We give you three reasons - it's Goa, there'll be jazz music and it's Goa {oh, did we repeat Goa? #sorrynotsorry}. There'll be beaches around, live jazz music and like-minded people there to take in the experience. The resort is lush, and the festival happens to on a weekend. Book a car, drive down to the fest and enjoy your weekend surrounded by beautiful music.

The ticket prices start at INR 750 and go up to INR 1,200. If you buy the season pass, it'll cost you INR 1,200 {for both the days}, and individual passes for both the days are priced at INR 750.
