What Makes It Awesome

One fine evening we decided to make our way to Powai and were given a tip-off about Powai's not-so-hidden-gem, Jewel Food Court.

It's a 24-hour food court {more like a combination of small eateries outside its humble signage} that serves the residents of Powai all-day, all-night long.

The court has a bun muska-tea cart, a chicken shwarma joint, a momo joint, a South Indian food joint, a sandwich cart, and an inside area where one can sit in nicely.

What we especially like about this place is that it helps out all sorts of people, the office-going folks for their post-office chai, the students for their late-night munchies, and the regular folks for their early morning breakfast!

What Could Be Better?

The shawarma stall shuts around 7pm or 8pm and so does the South Indian joint. However, the momo cart {serving vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian momos}, chai stall, and the sandwich cart remain open.

Anything Else?

IITians, and people of Mumbai, if you're up late and have got munchies, you know where to head now.

The dosas are available in all flavours, from your gini to masala, butter sada, and they cost INR 80 upwards. The momos are from INR 60 a plate {they only serve full-plate}. Like in a food court, you need to first buy the coupons.

#LBBTip: The momo cart will also deliver momos until late-night to your home {restricted to Powai obviously}. Just ask them politely.
