Ten Second Takeaway

A new vegetarian restaurant is all set to open at Fort, making us add one more to our list of fine dine vegetarian restaurants in town.

Chow Down

A little disheartened at first witnessing the absence of meat from the menu, we decided to make peace with it eventually. By the same guys behind Picante, the menu for Verandah 11 appears to be traditional at first but surprises you with a chocolate gol gappa or a gajar halwa baklawa thrown in for a sense of adventure.

But then you can always choose from their selection of kebabs, assorted stuffed kulchas, roomali khakra roti {INR 125} or a Hyderabadi dum biryani {INR 345}. We’re pretty excited about their kadahi paneer quesadillas {INR 375} as well.

Their desserts have been fused with Western elements, which we like. A big shout out to the idea of naan khatai cheesecake with rabdi {INR 345}. Oh, and there’s also the Picante menu to choose from, in case you want to go back to familiarity.

Sip On

To go with the food, they have refitted their mocktails as well. Think flavored mojitos, flavoured frozen margaritas, basil martini, spicy orange or a chatka mary to pair with the food.

Vegetarians can rejoice for they can add another fine dining place to their list. No more asking the waiter if they make veg separately in another kitchen. The kitchen is all yours now.
