What Makes It Awesome?

Vanakkam Cafe, Newly opened the place in Malad which is located on SV road is truly a good place to visit for South Indian food within a pocket-friendly price. Owned and a menu curated by chef Rahul Desai, it has everything which it needs from varieties of dosa to idlis and main course to desserts. Also, there are some unique dishes which I have never had anywhere else.

Menu contains dishes from Kerala, Tamilnadu Andhra Pradesh and also Maharashtra.
Started off with,

1) Gadbad Idli :
Gadbad as the name says it was Gadbad full of fusion with Maharashtrian Missal and South Indian idli combination of blast full of flavours. Soft idlis dipped in that missal was immensely delicious.

2) Coconut Shell Idli :
It was so so cutely presented. Cooked in a coconut shell with some Podi Masala topped with Coconut Cheese sauce tempered with some curry leaves. Flavours of Coconut were really good it goes very well with its name.

3)Lava Idli :
As we always try Lava Cake, let's try some lava Idli. super sponge Idli stuffed with Sambhar served with three types of Chutney Coconut, Pineapple Tomato Chutneys. Idlis were topped with some spicy powdered masala.

4) Medu Vada Sandwich :
Medu vada stuffed with spicy grilled potato patty topped with cheese.

Also tried Hyderabadi Upma dosa which was a dosa layered with Upma which we regularly eaten but never combined with Dosa. Good and crispy. Ended our meal with Pineapple Sheera sweet and Scrumptious.

Wonderful place, must Visit!
