Get Discounts On Restaurants, Travel, Apparel & More Through The Mumbai Metro App

Recently on June 8, it was reported that The Mumbai Metro app launched a new feature where travellers that are metro smart card holders – both the store value cards and trip based cards- will be able to avail fab discounts through the app. Since the mobile app now actually gives amazing offers across categories, we decided to check it out.

We love the fact that there are discounts, of course. So we explored the app and found the interface to be fairly easy. If you’re a regular app user, you know the drill. But for the others, here’s what you do- your first sign up by putting in your name, card details, etc., and once you’re through, start exploring. There’s a section at the side that gives you a list of offers across several categories- dining {offers on Faasos, McDonald’s and other restaurants}, travel {cashback on flight tickets, car rentals, etc.}, shopping {including KOOVS, Shoppers Stop, Chumbak, etc.}, education and more.

There are some pretty fun deals that give you cashback or discounts. In fact, officials from Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd. have said that “the number of offers and discounts they are offering is so wide that the commuters, by availing them, will save to the extent that the metro rides will become “almost free” for them”.

The app is works just fine on android phones, but seems to have some compatibility issues with iOS users.
