Have You Heard? You Will Now Be Able To Transfer Money Via WhatsApp

In a move to become the one-stop-app for everything, WhatsApp will now introduce a feature that will allow you to transfer money.

Users will be able to link their bank account to their WhatsApp account via Unified Payments Interface {UPI}. What does it mean? No more converting your money into digital currency through wallets. You can now transfer money as is, through your bank account with ease.

The service will allow you to only transfer money to your friends and family, it won’t allow you to shop online.

The transfers will happen via chat. Just the way you attach pictures, videos and contacts -you will soon get a ‘payment’ option.

Our lives are all set to become easier - no more logging into banking apps, and remembering all those passwords. WhatsApp is rolling out the service in phases, so watch out for updates!
