What Makes It Awesome
What's My Pro Tip?
How do you reach the stay? Take a train to Kudal and then a bus/auto from there to Tarkarli. It's a 1.5 hour journey in total. A state bus is cheaper in terms of pricing and will drop you near the resort while a rickshaw will cost around INR 400-600 {do bargain}. The journey is through narrow roads, replete with vast green surroundings, and is beautiful drive that too.
Anything Else?
Visava Beach Resort is one of the prime properties in Tarkarli, and conveniently located. It is a huge resort with private access to the beach and a view of the beach from most of its rooms. Imagine waking up to that view!
The rooms are neat, clean and spacious, and the service is friendly. You can choose to sit by the windows and watch the sunset or take a stroll on the beach. The food is decent and affordable and a meal is all the more fun when eaten at the benches in their garden with sand under your feet! You can book rooms from their website {and ideally should, especially if you visit during peak season or on a long weekend, as they are generally full.}
The resort also lets you indulge in water sports like swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing and boating, apart from other beach activities.
What else can you do in Tarkarli? When in Tarkarli you can chill at beaches, head to the Sindhudurg Fort, enjoy water sports, scuba diving and snorkeling and gorge on some of the delicious thalis prepared by locals {both vegetarian and sea food} and just be at peace. Heavy rainfall may put a stop to scuba and snorkeling activities for a few days; but the tranquil, charming and green village roads and beaches are always an attraction.
