Handcrafted decor has a special place in my heart. Add to that, the fact that it's full of Boho feels and is sure to give my space that vacay vibe and you've got a winner. So, little wonder that I fell (and fell hard) for the collection at Urbaine Decor.
Now, I like my space to be soothing. So while I don't mind the occasional burst of colour in the form of cushions or wall art, for the most part, my living space is curated with things that will soothe the eye - pale blues, whites, creams etc. So Urbain's handcrafted macrame and wooden art fits right in. And if you're like me, well, it's going to work for you too. Their products are made by hand, in India and I absolutely love that the craftsmanship, as well as the materials, are all Indian but the design is globally inspired. So you get those cool Pinterest-y trends but right here at home. Plant parents, you will fall for their beautifully crafted plant holders - these are available in white and the contrast with the green plants and a terracotta pot just makes for a really aesthetic corner. If you love aromatherapy and love filling your space with candles, then they've got lovely glass candle holders decorated in macrame that are ideal to create a calming space. We also spotted hanging shelves, resin art platters in wood and more.
Prices are on the steeper side - definitely above the INR 1,000 mark, but hey, it's all made by hand so totally worth the splurge. It's important to support our craftsmen, especially right now and I'm all for that.
