These New House Parties In Mumbai Have Only One Rule: Switch Off Your Phones
No kidding. A group of four Mumbai boys came up with the idea to start The Drinking Monastery on finding themselves at too many similar scenes where either the music took over the conversations, people’s eyes started wandering to their phones or IPL screens or perhaps, conversations became stilted between the same group of people they always hung out with. At what they plan will be bi-monthly events, they will organise BYOB gatherings at people’s homes across Mumbai. What makes this different from a regular party though? You have to keep your phone away for the duration of the event, no exceptions, and the guest list is selected so that there is a diverse crowd, people doing different things and to give everyone a chance.
So, We're Saying...
They have only started planning their parties to come. To be in the know of upcoming scenes, like their Facebook page here.
