Chef Saransh Goila {Of Goila’s Butter Chicken fame} is putting together a blindfolded tasting of a five-course meal at The Hive in Bandra.

What Is It?

Not only is this one of the first times that chef Goila will be cooking for a private audience, it is also a very interesting concept since diners will be blindfolded while they eat. This five-course meal is promising to be an interesting combination of east, west, north and south Indian cuisines.

The spread has both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The meal may feature dishes such as vindaloo from west India, kosha mongsha from the east, butter chicken from up north, and iddiyappam from the south.

So We’re Saying…

It’ll be interesting to see {or rather hear} the diners react to food they’re eating without any visual aids. The fact that other senses will get heightened when sight is blocked, will definitely add to the fun. Will the food taste more delicious? We’ll find out. Only 40 seats are available, so book fast. A secret hamper for each diner is also in store.

#LBBTip: The Hive can be difficult to locate in Chuim Village, so allow 15 minutes extra travel time, and keep your eyes peeled for Ahmed Bakery.
