What Makes It Awesome
The Palms Hotel is a mid-range hotel in Diu. Nestled in the heart of greenery, the hotel offers easy access to Kodidhar Beach. The hotel has 18 rooms in different budget options: economy, standard and deluxe, plus they also have furnished tents with a sea view and pool view for those of you who love glamping. If you're looking for a more spacious room, the deluxe room is the way to go - it can accommodate up to 5 people. Opt for rooms come with a sit-out where you can unwind with a cup of tea or cold beer in the evenings.
The rooms are on the simpler side, but are clean, furnished with all the necessities you need for a comfortable stay. The restaurant overlooks the beach, and is a laid-back place serving simple, delicious coastal cuisine and is know for its seafood dishes. Seasonal food is the norm here, so do ask what's fresh that day! The restaurant and bar is open till 10:30 PM every evening and breakfast is served at 8:00 AM.
The sea-facing tents come recommended and we think that waking up to views of a sunrise over the gently crashing waves with a cup of tea in hand is hard to beat!
Prices start at INR 2,450 for the economy double room and AC tents start at INR 4,250. We suggest calling ahead, as tariffs vary as per the season.
What Could Be Better
The tents, while fully furnished are on the pricier side.
Popular Nagoa beach is within walking distance. The water here is tranquil and good for swimming. Keep an eye out for the unique palms - you won't see this type of vegetation anywhere else in the country!
