What Makes It Awesome?

Located 10 km from Panvel lies the sleepy village of Prabalmachi. A small hike from Shedung Phata will take you to one of the most famous camping spots near Mumbai. It is completely free of plastic. The visitor is not allowed to carry alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco your bags will be checked before entering the village to avoid any kind of drug abuse at the Fort.

Views from the fort are amazing. The campsite is well equipped with a good quality tent and tasty food. You can spend the night sitting next to the bonfire. Watching shooting stars, spotting constellations.

In the morning you can climb the famous kalavantin durg. Villagers help you summit the Fort as the last 15 feet rock patch can be challenging.

You can also come Prabalgad fort trek along with Kalavantin durg. There is a village entry fee of rs 50 collected by the locals. Who help the Fort and village area clean and safe.

Frequent buses are not available to reach base village so hiring rickshaws can be expensive from Panvel.
