Meet Khao San – a Thai pickup kitchen in Khar. No need to go to Bangkok to have those rice paper rolls now {or attempt to make them at home}.

Chow Down

Vanita Lalwani is a home chef who learned to nail Thai cuisine from the reputed Blue Elephant school in Bangkok. Her main agenda is to introduce people to new Thai dishes instead of the ones we have been privy to here in Mumbai.

Our knowledge of Thai food is often limited to curries and Pad Thai noodles. Vanita took matters into her own hands in 2016 and introduced Khao San in 2016 through popups in the city. After the concept and food became a raging hit, she has now started a pickup kitchen from her Khar house.

Serving dishes like rice paper roll with spicy dipping sauce {INR 450}, kro pa gai {INR 450}, red and green Thai curry {INR 370 upwards}, stir-fried broccoli and asparagus {INR 400} and a lot more. The spread will take you back to Thailand and will send your taste buds on a ride. Trust us when we say that!

So, We're Saying...

You can order food from Khao San eyes closed – it’s that good. You’ll have to order in a day prior and pick it up from her house.
