Started in 1910 as a tiny retail shop, Khatri Jamnadas Bechardas has established itself as one of the best stores in Mumbai when it comes to shopping for bandhani sarees, gharcholas, panetar dresses and chaniya cholis. Created using the tie-and-dye method, a bandhini sari’s quality is determined by how tightly knit it is. At Jamnadas, instead of the usual glass display, the saris are wrapped in cloth bundles so that they retain their wound up pattern for longer {wedding saree range starts from INR 5,000}.
