Lokoman is one of the firsts to bring the newest obsession in the dessert world, Loukoumades into India. Loukoumades are like bite-sized doughnuts, filled with custom stuffings like Nutella, dark, milk or white chocolate, cream, etc. It is of Greek origin and now has forayed in India through the shores of Mumbai :)
Lokoman is a cute little cafe, tucked near Charni Road station. The interiors are done up in shades of blue and beige, making it a nice place for photo-ops. They not only serve loukoumades, but also unique coffees, teas and even pancakes and freak shake.
I started by ordering their Granola Coffee. Yes, that's right - it's a hot coffee topped with generous amounts of granola and tastes great! I also tried a simple cafe latte and it had a great taste too. They roast and grind their coffee beans in-house.
Among the loukoumades options, I tried the Baetella Nutella. It is a sinful mix of 8 Nutella stuffed loukoumades, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, cookie crumbles and dark chocolate. It was total heaven for chocolate and Nutella lovers. Highly recommended.
Upstairs at Lokoman, they have a gaming place also, fully equipped with 3 LED screens, Xbox games and some bean bags. The charges of gaming per hour are also reasonable.
We had some lemon and chilli salted fries and Blue Curacao Red Bull to cut through all the sweetness at the end. Overall, Lokoman is a great place to have a good and relaxing time with friends, or by oneself.
