Mahindra Blues Festival, 2020

What's Happening?

There are a few things Mumbaikars wait for with bated breath each year, and for a loyal niche (with great taste in music), the Mahindra Blues Festival is one such event. A yearly affair that’s filled with celebrated Jazz artists from around the globe, the festival is now a decade old, and you can bet that this year’s headliners are as stellar as the festival’s run has been.

It’s not everyday that timeless icons of music walk amongst us, so make sure you make it foe this one, because the lineup this year is UNMISSABLE.

One of the most celebrated guitarists of the 60s and 70s, who’s still killin’ it today, is scheduled to perform this year - Buddy Guy! The whopping 8-time Grammy winner will be performing on Day 2. Other headliners include Kevin Roosevelt Moore (AKA Keb’ Mo’), the amazing Kenny Wayne Shepherd (of “Blue On Black” and “Everything Is Broken” fame) and even Larkin Poe, a band headed by Rebecca and Megan Lovell. Fun fact: They’re descendants of THE Edgar Allen Poe. Lastly, you’ll also get to see a Homegrown Blues Collective!

It’s gonna be at Mehboob Studios as usual, on the 8th and 9th of February. So... Brush up on your blues knowledge before you go!

How’s the venue?

Mehboob Studios takes on a music-festival-meets-beer-garden-esque form during the festival. There will be a bar, a smoking zone, and multiple stages.
