Have you always yearned to have your own guitar, but finances been keeping you from investing in one? Well, put your air guitar away, because a new workshop in Mumbai will teach you how you can make your own guitar at home.
For the music-lovers and for those who always wondered how they could get around trying woodwork. The workshop is happening at Maker’s Asylum in Andheri East. The speaker is Samir Karnik, a guitar and ukelele maker, who is also a sustainability consultant who works on environmental projects by day, and builds acoustic guitars and other wooden knick-knacks by night.
Because this is a truly unique workshop. We love the fact that there’s now a space in Mumbai which will teach people the old-fashioned craft of making beautiful instruments from scratch. And can you imagine playing a guitar you’ve crafted with your own two hands?
The best part of all – the event is free. Just make sure to register ahead of time.
