Hindi films fans can now rejoice because Mumbai is hosting its first-ever music festival celebrating Bollywood, and Bollywood songs, while exploring and experimenting with all sorts of genres within it.

What's The Buzz?

Bollywood Music Project, as it’s called, will be celebrating the vibrant and colourful music industry of the Hindi cinema. If you, like us, are looking for a chill festive vibe coupled with some fine tunes of Bollywood from the big artists, this is the festival to go to.

The line-up that’s been announced so far includes Amit Trivedi, Rekha Bhardwaj, Arijit Singh, Badshah {we can foresee the song requests}, and Sajid Wajid. More artists will be announced soon.

You can also expect various pop-ups, food stalls, NH7-esque outdoor stages and of course, hoards of major celebrities joining hands to embrace the their music. But the utmost distinctive feature of this festival is to present Hindi film songs in a new avatar – think coke studio sessions live to an audience of hundreds and thousands {which we are down for}. We’re thinking sufi, pop, fusion and folk rock, an amalgamation of sorts.

The festival will start its first leg in Mumbai, but will soon take to different cities in the Middle East {for the filmy fans out there}, as reported by The Hindu.

So We're Thinking...

Let’s treat the festival-deprived Bollywood fan inside us, and get a hold of the early bird tickets! Because what is Mumbai without its super Bolly Land?
