The dishes at KongPoush are as authentic as they get. The spices like the red chilli powder are sourced from Kashmir and a lot of the masalas are made in-house. We love the meat-heavy menu, as that’s what this cuisine is really about. Succulent pieces of mutton draped in curd and turmeric {which is a very quintessentially Kashmiri preparation}, is served along with white rice. Our favourites include yakhni kokur {white curry chicken}, mutton qaliya {curd, cinnamon and turmeric}, rista { lamb pieces served as meat balls} and so much more. We also recommend patrons try out their classic tabakh maaz, buzith kokur kanti.
Don’t worry, vegetarians are not left behind. Dishes like rogan josh paneer and nadar palak are as delightful as the mutton dishes, so there’s something for everyone out there.
