What Makes It Awesome

The hidden gem of Marol, Bombay to Barcelona Library Cafe is a tiny cafe where food is made and served with the most important ingredient - love! The prices are extremely pocket-friendly with a lot of variety in the menu for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

What's more? Craving a certain dish? Ask the head chef Sabiya and she might whip it together for you!

The cafe organises book discussions, jam sessions and even stand up comedy shows, updates of which are available on their Facebook page. In an endeavour to boost creativity and employment, they sell handmade accessories, paintings and clothes by talented artists.

What Could Be Better?

Nothing according to me! Nobody working here is trained in the hotel business. They are learning and growing everyday so do not shy away from making recommendations, they highly appreciate feedback.

Also, it's a shame that a place as lovely as this is so tiny.

What's My Pro Tip?

It is an easy walk from the Marol Metro and has ample parking too.

Interact with the staff, it's an open kitchen! Talk to Amin or Gopala about the cafe and you will be humbled with a touching back story.

P.S.- Bibliophiles, pick up a copy of Amin's autobiography. It's not only an interesting read, but the proceeds go towards running the cafe.

Anything Else?

Try the Valencian Bombon Coffee or Spanish Cortado. For tea lovers, this place makes perfect chai. Cost for two is around INR 500.

They also give free cupcakes and food at subsided rates to street children.
