16mm Found Footage Workshop

What's Happening

We've heard of creating a piece of physical art from found objects, but what about creating art in celluloid form from found objects? This workshop uses hundreds of meters of existing 16mm film clips from feature films, documentaries, music films and educational films to create something entirely new and exciting.

The four-hour workshop will introduce you to the medium of film, give you a chance to create your own story from the existing content, learn how to edit the footage and use a splicer to put together your complete piece. Aspiring film makers and enthusiasts will get a great intro to the medium of celluloid film and also get to work hands-on with film.

What's great is that the workshop has been thought out and planned by film makers and people in the visual medium industry so it's sure to give you valuable insight into the medium and kick start your interest in the field. The workshop is organised in association with the Serendipity Arts Festival and Kodak.
