Lakme Fashion Week will be holding their first-ever plus size show auditions on Friday, July 29 at the St Regis Hotel.

What's It All About?

Lakme Fashion Week {August 24-August 28}, an annual event in the Indian fashion world, is for the first time organising a plus-size runway show {sponsored by aLL, the plus-size store}.

This is part of their Winter Festive edition, held in collaboration with designer Shilpa Chavan of Little Shilpa. Women with waist 34 inches and above, and men with waists at 40 inches and above are invited for the auditions. Dress code is black or any solid colour dressing. Women, do carry your own pair of stilettos.

Why We Love It

The plus-size movement in fashion is the one movement we are totally behind. Pushing for a positive body image and empowering it is something the Indian fashion scene needs. Lakme is upping its game and leveling up with world fashion that's been featuring plus sized models for a while now.

#LBBTip: Participants will not only get mentored by experts, but will also receive makeovers from Lakme at the auditions.
