Tasveer, which translates to photograph in English – is one of the few photography galleries in this country – based out of the Institute of Contemporary Indian Art in Kala Ghoda.
Adding to the diverse art galleries of the art district of Colaba, they organise some spectacular photography exhibitions which has seen the likes of Prabhuda Dasgupta, Raghu Rai {a known face in India photojurnalism space} – to international photographers. The exhibitions are often thematic and have curated the works of Derry Moore, a series called ‘Maharaja’ – documenting the lives of the royals of India to ‘Maharani’s’ of India.
