Thanksgiving brings with it joy and an innate desire to hog on food, as well as the feeling of thankfulness and togetherness. In case you are planning to head out that day, here’s a handy list of the restaurants hosting dinners in the city, so that you don’t have to roast a turkey.

Bastian is so much into Thanksgiving that they won’t be serving anything from their regular menu on the 24th of November. Instead, they will be serving dishes like the good old Mac n Cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean salad, glazed carrots,grilled asparagus, sautéed mushrooms and cranberry sauce among others.You can relish desserts from Bastian Bakery. You can devour this specially curated menu at INR 5,000 per head without alcohol and at INR 6,000 with alcohol.

Indigo will bring you closer to home with its traditional menu. They have truffled cauliflower soup to start with, palm heart carpaccio with bruleed roman artichoke, the traditional roast turkey and glazed duck breast, In case you want to throw the feast at home, the traditional stuffed roast turkey will also be available for take-away. Orders will need to be placed two days in advance.

They’re hosting Thanksgiving at two of their restaurants – Lotus Cafe & Mezzo Mezzo which will see a traditional spread. There’s stuffed roast turkey carving, pigs in a blanket, bread stuffing, cranberry glaze, giblet gravy, mushroom beans and bacon, brussels sprouts and kumquats. They had us at bacon, honestly. Their cost per head starts at INR 2700, depending on whether you have alochol or not.

Ballard Estate’s latest gem, The Clearing House, sits in an ice factory and will serve dishes like roasted butternut squash with ginger candy, roasted beetroot carpaccio with iced fennel and hazelnut brittle and grilled scallops with arugula vichyssoise, pepernota and a dash of lemon oil. There’s also pecan pie to be devoured.

Olive will be hosting a three-course meal at INR 1,800 per head, which we think is a steal. There’s crostini {fresh tomatoes and peppers, wild garlic, mayonnaise, home-made ricotta and chunky salsa verde}, salmon confit with keffir lime-marinated potatoes, sautéed edamame beans, pumpkin ketchup and Kalamata olive tapenade and pressed lamb ribs {buttermilk dressing, fermented carrot and black sesame slaw}. Fpr desserts, they will complete your gluttony guilt trip with baked apple pie.

Ellipsis will be hosting an ‘orphan thanksgiving’ dinner tomorrow. Now before you think otherwise, the concept is based on the idea of being away from home. Since executive chef, Phuong Tran is away from his family, he decided to host an Orphan Thanksgiving wherein people that are away from their loved ones can enjoy this festive day with people in similar situations.There’ll be whole turkey, a pork/ ham dish and all the fixings and sides one can eat. Pie will be served for dessert at INR 5000 per head.

Two of the restaurants at St. Regis – Seven Kitchens & Luna Gusta will be hosting the dinner with an idea to serve comfort food. Since comfort is home, there’ll be the traditional Corn Fed Stuffed Turkey and Honey Glazed Gammon along with veg and non veg salads. Pizza is also available for those who’d like a bit more variety. For desserts, there’s Plum pudding with custard, Chocolate yule logs and others. You’ll have shell out INR 3000 without alcohol and INR 4,500 with alcohol for the dinner.
