Masque is a farm-to-fork concept restaurant which sources farm-fresh ingredients from all over the country and has our vote when it comes to the food.

Like European restaurants, Masque offers meals by courses instead of a menu. You can choose a six or a nine-course meal {vegetarian or non-vegetarian}. The dishes will change according to the season, so you get to eat dishes made out of the best ingredients available in that particular season {instead of packaged syrups generally used for flavouring}.

From locally grown Mexican gherkins to seabuckthorn from the Nubra valley in Ladakh to chocolate from Puducherry – all exotic ingredients are homegrown and the kitchen calendar is planned six months in advance.

Chocolate and buckwheat, Himalayan rye with goat’s butter, Nasu eggplant and fiddlehead ferns are some of the attractions expected to be on the menu. The first menu has a petite dessert of pickled peaches with almond ice-cream.

From signature cocktails inspired by Ayurveda to encouraging guests to channel their creativity by letting them create their own signature drink, it’s quite the rage in the city. Your drink will be saved in their database, so you can taste your masterpiece on the next visit as well or recommend it to a friend.

Inspired by the concept of homegrown pride and sustainable, locally grown ingredients, we love that the restaurant is an ode to farmers. In a world where we are pressed for fresh vegetables and fruits, we’d love to eat something sourced entirely out of a farm.
