What Makes It Awesome?

This hidden gem located in Thane has a psychedelic-themed ambiance which you are sure to love. They have this unique bring your own booze concept wherein you can carry your own booze to their restaurant and enjoy them with your friends. {You will obviously have to buy your mixtures and food from the restaurant}.

Along with some delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes on their extensive menu, they also serve chakna to their guests.

This eatery is just ten minutes from The Upvan Lake, Thane. Shiva Forest Restaurant is easily accessible via road and with directions available on GPS, your drive here is bound to be smooth.

At first we were a little skeptical to go here when we read that it is situated in Yeor hills forest area but the place turned out to be absolutely safe {especially convenient if you have your own vehicle}. They have taken all the necessary precautions and the entire property is under CCTV surveillance.

We tried their Paneer Dum Biryani {INR 250}, Paneer Hariyaali Kebab {INR 260}, Sev Tikki {INR 200} and Manchurian Pizza {INR 320}. The dishes stated as per the taste metre as well {tastiest one first}.

We absolutely loved the Paneer Dum Biryani. It was our most favourite of all the dishes we tried at this quirky place.

The paneer Hariyaali Kebab was another dish we absolutely loved. It was served with amazing onion salad {julliens of chopped onions mixed in a curd dressing with a hint of Indian spices like cumin being the dominant taste}. We absolutely loved this dish.

One of the starters we ordered was the Sev Tikki. It had potato and cheese filling. It was crispy on the outside {due to the sev} and soft on the inside. It instantly melted in the mouth and is a good dish to try. Again, the accompaniment was the show stealer here. The Sev Tikki was served with a delectable pudina chutney. Their chef definitely has a secret pudina chutney recipe.

The Manchurian pizza was a crispy thin crust pizza. It had deep fried manchurian on a bed of melted cheese. The manchurian tasted a bit over-fried. But overall, it was a good combination of flavours again.

So, if you're up for a scrumptious meal amidst some trippy decor, head to Shiva Forest right away.
