So get ready to enjoy a special menu with 10 dishes inspired by delicacies from ports around the world all day, from March 1-31. In true Toast & Tonic style, Chef Chirag Makwana’s specials feature flavours from across Italy, France, Peru and Japan.

Scandinavian Smorgasbord

When food doesn’t just mean a dish for you but an experience, you’ve got to dip into an infusion of delightful flavours to uplift your mood. Like salmon with creamy dill sauce? You’ve got to try out this Scandinavian Gravalax served on sourdough bread with lots of spices. It’s paired with mustard hollandaise, avocado and smoked tomato sofrito on sourdough toast.

Peruvian Delights

Want something cool, light and refreshing? The T&T Seabass Ceviche takes inspiration from Peru where the ceviche, a mainstay of many parts of Latin American, comprises raw seafood cured in citrus juices and different seasoning. But here it’s been paired with a kokum coconut sauce for a gentler flavour, topped with fried onions, charred Bhavnagari chilli salsa and sorghum crackers.

Lobster Rolls From Maine

Dreaming about lobster shacks and sandy beaches? Well, if a getaway to North American coastline seems like far away wish, try the Lobster Roll that’s inspired by the sandwich native to Maine. It comes with cold lobster meat mixed with mayonnaise and served on a bun with a desi twist in the Naga chilli aioli, sweet potato chips and a purple cabbage slaw.

Hopelessly Ramen-tic From Japan

Everybody loves ramen, and why not! If you identify yourself in this category, try the Cold Ramen (Hiyashi Chuka) that comes with Bangalore ham, shrimp, house made sambal, fermented radish and a chilled soy, ginger and scallion broth. Perfect for a warm day, this delicious meal will definitely cool one down!

Oui To French Classics

Missing the lovely classics of France? Try this French dish with the fish wrapped in aromatic and baked parchment. The Red Mullet en Papillote is served with sautéed amaranth, squash puree, braised red cabbage and sundried tomato and raisin pesto.

Italian Display Of Affection

Treat yourself to the hugely popular Frito Misto, a medley of fried seafood, that’s served with house made mustards and tomato sofrito. Inspired from the Venetian delicacies, this one’s typical of the city’s cafes and restaurants that believe in frying fresh fish and seafood for the best flavours.

Love Affair With New Orleans’ Oysters

Wanna try oysters? This mix of finely chopped greens and copious amounts of butter, baked in the shells, is a must and borrows from the age old secret recipe in New Orleans. Rich and bursting with flavours, this famous dish at Toast & tonic comes topped with local greens, amaranth leaves and Gin hollandaise.

Anything Else?

In keeping with Toast & Tonic’s philosophy of a New York East Village-inspired restaurant and bar, ‘Fresh off the Boat’ is yet another example of a continually changing menu, one that channels the vibe of international dining, is inspired by many culinary cultures, yet firmly infuses play and ingredients available locally. Dishes here celebrate the best of the country’s produce, while borrowing influences from Asian, French, Canadian, Japanese and even Latin American cultures. So, wait no more.
