What Makes It Awesome?

Vilayati, as the name suggests, means "Foreign" in Hindi. When you enter the place, you realize that the interiors completely justify the name. With a touch of vintage British era theme with huge chandeliers and antique items like gramophones and classic paintings, there are certain twists to each element which makes Vilayati Desi. From Mona Lisa showing you the finger to a Dog Soldier's portrait and offbeat neon signs and hangings, the quirky interiors set you in the mood for a good meal.

The space is huge with seating of approx of 80 people and a dance floor which can accommodate 200 people easily. Vilayati is all set to be Navi Mumbai's hottest party destination with its killer interiors and chill vibes. The place transforms from a modern lunch place in the afternoon to a high energy party lounge by night. The place is apt for all kind of social dinners and parties, raising the bar of the F&B and party scene in Vashi. One of the best interiors we have seen till date, this place will definitely get you turnt.

Food: Every food item, which isn’t a native to India, is given a little desi twist, and we loved every bit of it. We tried the mango special menu and in all the mango dishes, the flavour of mango was very subtle and nicely inculcated and in none of the dishes we felt that that mango taste was overwhelming.

Vegetarian:

Mango Rasam Soup: 4.5/5
Whoever imagined mango and rasam going so beautifully together! This delicious mango infused Rasam was served with a few mango pieces and poured dramatically at our table. If you’re a mango lover, you should definitely try this Rasam with a twist.

Hummus with Chilli Thecha and Pita Bread: 5/5
Middle Eastern Chickpea Hummus served with a touch of pounded green chillies and peanuts served with Grilled Pita Bread. The spicy Maharashtrian tinge of thecha complimented the creaminess of hummus in an unexpected yet amazing way.

Kurkuri Cheese Cigar: 4/5
Wonton sheets stuffed with Mozzarella cheese and coated in vermicelli, served in cute ‘cutting chai’ glasses, half dipped in Thai Sweet Chilli Mayonnaise.

Veg Alleppy Curry, Simply Kerala Style: 5/5
This was one of the chef’s special and we absolutely loved it. Light flavour and creaminess of coconut with the crunchiness of loads of fresh veggies, in a proper South Indian style curry, was a truly remarkable preparation.

Zaatar Naan and Garlic Naan: Both the naans were hot and crispy. Zaatar naan sprinkled with Zaatar masala with Sumac on top and Garlic Naan with small pieces of chilli and Garlic accompanied our mains pretty well.

Non-Vegetarian:

Almond Chicken Soup: 5/5
This is a Vilayati special soup. It is thick almond cream and chicken broth lightly flavoured with nutmeg flower and served with small grilled chicken pieces on top.

Alphonso Chicken: 4.5/5
Whoever thought that the unusual pairing of Mango and Chicken Tikka would work? But when we had it, we fell in love with this tikka. The mango flavour was very subtle and the chicken charred perfectly. The tikkas were served with raw mango chutneys.

Chingri Malai Prawn Curry: 4.5/5
Fresh Prawns were crushed and made into small cakes with the mango curry served separately and poured piping hot at the table. This dish is not only aesthetically pleasing but tasted amazing too.

Desserts:

Ras Malai Tres Leche: 4/5
Rasmalai with alternate layers of fresh cream in between was served with pineapple milk. This combination is rare to see but a pure delight to taste.

Banoffee Pie: 4/5
Soft chocolate and banana pie, with loads of caramel on the top, was very nicely plated with an array of edible flowers on top. The pie melts in your mouth and brings nothing but joy to the eater and keeps you wanting for more.

Beverages:

Cilantro Ananas: 4.5/5
Served in a quirky pineapple shaped glass, this drink has our heart. Gin, fresh cilantro and pineapple cubes are the best combinations for summer day drinking.

Drunk Melon: 4.5/5
Served in a real muskmelon with dramatic dry ice smoke flowing out, this drink has vodka, Midori which is a muskmelon based alcohol, some muskmelon juice and apple juice. If you're a fan of anything fresh, this is your drink.

Been to Vashi Pauwa: 4/5
House-made Pauwa with Tequila, Triple Sec, Coffee Beans and Sprite. This drink is the only hangover cure we know, which will awaken you in all senses of the word.

This party place, newly opened in Navi Mumbai, is surely a must visit for you and your squad. Not only do they serve awesome food and drinks with a twist but they're killing it with the Ambience and decor. The whole vibe of the place would make you stay longer and enjoy the night.
