Woodside Inn has pioneered the movement of pairing beers and burgers with its first Beer & Burger Festival, 13 years ago! This edition only promises to deliver the gastropub experience with the warmth of a neighbourhood bar in the comfort of your home. With an aim to encourage people to stay indoors, Woodside Inn brings to you ‘The Happy Picnic!’ A few things are as pleasurable as heading outdoors with friends and family, spreading out a blanket and spending the afternoon with food, games and chatter. With the pandemic, it’s still tough for most of us to get out and do that. With BnBFest2020, Woodside Inn encourages people to indulge in merrymaking, form bonds and get into a ‘picnic state of mind’ even when they are at home (or wherever they are). Because let’s face it - staying in is the new going out. Especially when staying in involves snuggling up with your loved ones while eating a delicious burger paired with a chilled glass of beer.
What’s On The Menu Men?
This edition of the Beer and Burger Festival will feature 11 burgers, each one designed as a ‘pick-me-up’ that gets you into a ‘picnic state of mind’. The festival burger called The Bandra Bugger is dedicated to the new neighbourhood launch and is a pork lover's delight. With pickled Goan chorizo, Spanish pepperoni, sausages, pork shoulder, belly bacon, apple compote and gouda - this one’s a solid bleddy burger, men! From the vegetarian options choose The Birdwatchers Burger with cottage cheese ghee roast, crunchy onion rings, ghee curry leaves aioli, sliced cucumber and fried cashew nuts; The Green Checks Burger with a soy black bean patty, black and white sesame kimchi and avocado (this one is vegan men!); The Potluck Burger with fried polenta crusted eggplant, zucchini squash, hummus, halloumi and mukhalal and The Frisbee Burger with crumb fried mushroom patty, camembert, cheese, mushroom pate, truffle oil and kale leaves. Meat lovers can choose from The Great Hike Burger with buttermilk marinated chicken thigh, red cabbage sauerkraut and habanero mayo or The Al Fresco Burger with a Teriyaki tossed juicy chicken patty, roasted peanuts, morning glory and cherry tomatoes. The Bonfire Burger comes with roasted tenderloin slices, horseradish cream, caramelised onions and mozzarella cheese sauce while The Full Basket Burger with double tenderloin patty, crispy bacon, melted cheddar and fried egg with onion and tomato slices and The Lazy Burger comes with a juicy lamb patty, plum jam, feta cream, and kale lettuce. This one comes with fresh tropical aromas & floral hops and we’d promise that you mustn’t have had such a refreshing chilled out beer. Aye Men! Have men!
