What Is It?

Did you already try yoga while being suspended in the air? Head to Yoga Funk. It’s yoga with a twist at the Yoga Funk workshop in Powai on Fri, Oct 21. You’ll find a session of flow-based yoga with glow-in-the-dark colours, neon lights and spacey music. The class is being taken by Dhara Vachharajani, at co-working office space Of10. By flow-based yoga, they mean that a mix of hatha and vinyasa yoga, and the teacher’s own version of rhythmic dance-yoga.

Who Is It For?

If you usually think of yoga as a slow activity involving too much patience, this is a fun way of playing it up. It will feel like a party, and even though there won’t be alcohol – work out hard and you’ll get an adrenaline high for sure.

Why Should I Go?

To us, Yoga Funk sounds like a fun social activity and a step away from the usual Friday night plans. And this way, instead of waking up on Saturday with regret, a stomach ache and an empty wallet – you will actually feel good about yourself. We do every time we exercise.

Anything Else?

Take your yoga mat along with you, as that will not be provided. To register for the party/class, you may register via the UACTIV app or simply send them a message with your contact details here.
